No Sew, Pottery Barn Kids...Inspired Curtains

I recently came up with an idea to create extra storage space in kid 1's room by creating a fuax window seat. 

I found these black storge cubes at Target for around $8 each.  These camouflage curtains I had bought on clearance at Pier One Kids when they went out of business about 2 years ago.  However, I didn't use them right away because the panels were too short.  So I devised a plan to lengthen these babies using store bought curtains and Stitch Witchery.  Yup, you guessed it...I don't sew!

 I found these simple cotton duck panels in olive green from Walmart for around $10.

I laid the panels out to the length desired.

I inserted the Stitch Witchery tape where the two panels met and created a seam.

I Ironed the seam on both sides to activate the Stitch Witchery and bond the fabric together. 

Then I trimmed off the excess fabric.

I was surprised...the seam looks pretty good doesn't it?  This project was sew so simple!

And here they are finished!  A huge improvement and these panels really work now flanking this faux window seat.

So there you have it...Pottery Barn Kids inspired curtain panels, and some much needed storage space for kid 1!  Yup, Stitch Witch rocks!
