Plate Walls...they are everywhere in blogland! I was so inspired by these projects that I even jumped on the plate hangin' bandwagon myself...click here to see my graphic dining room plate wall.
What's so great about hanging plates on the wall? Plates are a fabulous alternative to traditional framed wall art. And they come in so many colors and patterns, the design possibilities are endless...love that! Finally, plates are super affordable! Most thrift stores sell old and vintage white plates for around a dollar each.
Take a look at these plate wall designs that in one word are...Fabulous!
Layla @ The Lettered Cottage
Ahhh, Layla used beautiful soft blue and gray colors here! And the initial in the platter...such a great detail.
Virginia @ Meet Virginia
And if color is your thing...this is how ya do it! I love how Virginia mixed and matched patterns here.
Rene @ Cottage and Vine
Classic White...I love these white vintage looking plates next to the textured chandelier shades!
Amanda @ Imperfectly Beautiful
All I can say is...Grrrr! This is so fun with the graphic black and white play of patterns Amanda used.
Lindsay @ Living with Lindsay
Hanging plates above the bed? Why not, it looks great!
Are you looking for fun, affordable wall art that you can custom create to match any decor? Then take your plate collection or buy some new ones...and start hanging!

I think I do this with old china I have found at estate sales.
Half the fun of this project was collecting the plates! And you get a big focal point for little money...love that!
I've been collecting plates for my kitchen wall, so I liked seeing this and getting some more ideas. Great post, Jane!
