This is fun...if you've got little ones to take trick or treating on Halloween night, don't feel guilty leaving the house when no one is there to hand out candy!
Here's a simple solution...that's pretty darn cute too!
Now will the candy last? Not so sure about that!

Hi Jane,
What a great idea, do you really trust that they will do just that? I love your craft.

I love that idea. :) Not sure people would follow the rules in my area though. :(
i KNOW i wouldnt have followed the rules!
Ha ha...I know that kids everywhere will snatch up that candy, but isn't it sweet to make an effort!!
Fun project from My Pretties!

We do this every year as we have kids and enjoy taking them out trick or treating although nobody is home to Hand out candy. I actually made two tombstones out of cardboard and made a little poem about taking only a little, leaving some for others or the candy monster may follow you home.
We come home to an empty bowl so I am not sure if its working. My neighbors do the same thing and I always watch and make sure my kids take one or two pieces thats it.
Cute sign... although I'm not sure how well it'll work! lol
I've left candy out before and come home to some leftovers. But I lived in an area where parents supervised the kids vs a neighborhood where kids could go on their own. (Do parents still allow that?)
Cute! I always put a sign and bowl of candy out when we leave with my daughter...and I've never had to worry about left-over candy! Ha ha. I always wonder if the first child along just dumps the entire bowl in his bag! :)
That is definitely one sure way of running out of candy! Ha! Cute sign!

Wouldn't it be fun to write...
Take ONLY 3...or else a Halloween ghost will find you, and take back that candy!
Hehe...
