A Coral Design...on the cheap!

   I know you've seen it and love it, in fact if your like me...you probably can't get enough of it!  I'm talkin' about the latest edition of Pottery Barn and their fabulous coral inspired designs!

Well Beth from The Stories of A to Z created her own coral vignette...on the cheap!  Yup, she scored her Coral (are you ready for this?) from the pet section at Walmart, and then spray painted them with Rustoleum's gloss white.  Here's her design... 

 

Wow...I love a good Pottery Barn knock off, and this one is one of my favorites!  Give Beth a shout at The Stories of A to Z.   The girl simply creates fabulous designs...for less!   

A Victorian Chair...Transformed!

  Today I am positively S-W-O-O-N-I-N-G over this Revamped Victorian Chair from Three Boys! ********************************************* I seriously can't stop looking at it!  The colorful fabric, the beautifully distressed white paint...I am in LOVE!   This chair went from dark and dated to chic and stylish, with two things...simple fabric and paint.  Okay and a little elbow grease too!

Door turned Headboard!

  Some of my favorite makeovers to feature are Re-purposed  DIY Projects! There's just something about taking an old, cast off item you may have wasting away in the attic...and transforming it into something completely different. Like this old Door turned Headboard from A Pair of Pears! Amazing, but here's where this makeover began... 

 And here's the dramatic AFTER above...  Bold. Modern. Very cool!  What's in your attic?

Orange in the Bedroom & Pressed Leaf Wall Art!

 ...Hey guys, Amazing but Photobucket fixed our technical issue, yeah!!  And so back to our regularly scheduled programming... 
Everyone talks about creating master bedrooms that are calm and restful...a place to retreat from this crazy and hectic world of ours.  So would you use the color orange in your master bedroom?

Well if it's executed like this room above...I sure would!

I came across this photo the other day, and instantly fell for this warm and inviting space. 

People think of orange as a vibrant and energizing color, so using it in a bedroom may not be the best choice.  However, combining orange with rich textured wallpaper, a dramatic lamp, and soothing creams and neutrals...this room has an earthy and warm feeling that's just perfect for a Master Retreat! 

 And isn't the pressed leaf wall art fabulous?  That's a thrifty project we all can add to our to do list.  I'm just sayin'!

Technical Difficulties from Photobucket?

  

 As you can see Finding Fabulous has been experiencing Technical Difficulties these last few days! Yup, it looks like many of our images in the right hand sidebar have been hi-jacked by photobucket.  Beyond that...I have no idea what's going on!  Photobucket's team e-mailed me yesterday, saying everything would be back to normal by the morning.  But no such luck. Anyway, I just wanted to give our Reader's the 411 on this unbelievable Photobucket mishap.  And we hope to have our thrifty posts up and running again very soon! Thanks for your patience!   {And if you've experienced a problem like this before with Photobucket....leave me a comment, I'm all ears!}   

Clothes Pin Frame!

  I came across this spray paint project surfin' the links from Frugalicious Friday! Audrey from A Day with a Domestic Engineer created this Clothes Pin Frame from an old garage sale find.  

  Cute huh?  Well to really appreciate this, you have to see where it began... 

Ahhh...a little spray paint, scrap booking paper, some twine and clothespins.  And Audrey created a super cute way to display photos.  And because the little ones grow so fast...she can change out her pictures in a snap!
