Many people when hanging window treatments hang them right at the top of the window trim moulding, usually with 84" panels. And if you've got taller ceilings...this will make your ceilings look short. And we all want taller ceilings right? Instead use 96" panels and be sure to have your panels drape on the floor about an inch.
That room looks lovely with the drapes and blinds, I am going to get some bambo blinds foe my spare room, those would be perfect, the room is simular to the one in the picture.

They're especially great Jan if your room is monochromatic...adding another layer of texture and interest!
