My daughter's bedroom makeover is finally finished! We've been working on this room for quite some time now. It started with a fresh coat of paint in a funky Chartreuse color. My goal was to design a traditional bedroom with a vintage vibe, and of course vibrant color!
Our color scheme is Chartreuse, Turquoise and pink! Our Inspiration for the room was this pillow below with the vintage flowered design.
This Fontanta bedroom furniture the Hubby and I bought over 15 years ago! It used to be a natural pine...I painted it bright white. The art above the bed is simple framed scrap book papers...easy, easy! It helps add height to her bed, since there's no headboard.
And ahhh, the chandy....we love this chandelier and bought it on Ebay for a great price. I think it's my daughter's favorite part of the room! Mine too.
The twin bed was looking small in the room since the turquoise comforter is very thin. So I used a thick white down feather comforter at the foot of the bed. Ahhh, a little luxury in the kid's rooms...love that!
So that's how I design a chic tween bedroom, for less! A few thrifty finds, freshly painted bedroom furniture and a chic lil' chandelier...equals one happy little girl ;)
